The fiber laser cutting machine has a prominent advantage in sheet metal blanking. And it relies on the high temperature generated by the laser to melt the surface of the sheet metal part. And control the displacement by numerical control to achieve the cutting purpose. The advantages of laser processing mainly reflect in the fact that there is no deformation, high degree of flexibility, small slits, smooth section and no burr. Then it can cut any complicated graphic workpiece. Then, for different plate thicknesses, power plays an important determinant of the quality and speed of the kerf.
Let’s take the common 500W-1000W as an example and give you an analysis:

Taking carbon steel as an example, as shown in the figure, the maximum speed of carbon steel below 2mm using a 500W machine is about 6.6 meters per minute. And the maximum speed of cutting with a 1000W machine is about 8 meters per minute; 6mm carbon steel use. Then the top speed of a 500W machine is about 0.8 meters per minute. And the maximum speed of cutting with a 1000W machine is about 1.6 meters per minute, and so on.
Next, take stainless steel as an example.
As shown in the figure, the maximum speed of stainless steel below 2mm using a 500W machine is about 8 meters per minute, while the maximum speed of cutting with a 1000W machine can reach about 17 meters per minute; about 3mm stainless steel. The maximum speed of cutting with a 500W machine is about 0.4 meters per minute, while the maximum speed of cutting with a 1000W machine is about 1.4 meters per minute. The difference is obvious. It can be seen that the 1000W fiber laser cutting machine is obviously a more sensible choice when the 500W and 1000W fiber laser cutting machines are opposite.
